Phoenix Titan FS1282K Fireproof Document Safe
The Phoenix Titan FS1282K is a fireproof security safe with 1 hour of fire protection upon it. I offers protection for documents, contracts, deeds and data media. With an insurance rating of £2,000 for cash and £20,000 for valuables. The Titan is prepared for base fixing and comes supplied with fixing bolts for concrete.
Fireproof Document and Data Media Safe
The Phoenix Titan is a fire-resistant safe suitable for the fire-safe storage of documents and data media. The safe is certified according to:
- NT Fire 017, Level 60 Paper - 1 hour fire protection for paper (documents, files, etc.)
- MTC-DIP120-60DM, level Grade B - 1 hour fire protection for data media (backup tapes, hard drives, USB memory sticks, etc.)
Phoenix Titan Series: Ideal for the Home or Office
In addition to fire safety, the Phoenix Titan has security protection and offers good resistance to burglary. The construction is comparable to a light burglar-resistant safe. The solid hardware is fitted with 16 mm thick chrome-plated bolts.
The insurance rating supplied on the safe covers you for protection of £2,000 for cash and £20,000 for valuables.
The Titan has bolts on the top and bottom of the vault door. Due to the hinges on top, the safe door can be opened completely so that there is full access to the safe space.
The Titan is ideal for the secure storage of hard drives, USB memory sticks and other small items of data media.
Phoenix Titan Document Safe
The titan series is a widely sold fire-resistant safe for storing paper documents and other valuables. The titan has also been tested for fire safety for digital media, such as DVDs, USB memory sticks, hard drives and memory cards.
The safe is ideal for residential home or small business use. This European-certified fire-resistant safe is available in 3 models and optionally equipped with either a key, electronic or fingerprint lock. Despite the standard white colour, the safe looks modern due to the door sticker and the Cylinder Key Lock.
Dimensions
The Titan has external dimensions of 410 x 350 x 430 mm (HxWxD mm) and weighs 34 kg. the specified external depth is excl. 35 mm for the hinges and fittings. The internal dimensions are 320 x 260 x 304 mm (HxWxD mm) with a capacity of 25 litres.
A4 format documents can be stored in all models. The is also high and deep enough for files. Each model is equipped with a handy and durable plastic pull out drawer at the top of the safe (which is removable). The safe door is supplied with key hooks on the inside.
Fireproof Certified 60 Paper - NT Fire 017
The Phoenix titan-2 series is class 60 Paper certified according to the European Standard NT Fire 017 and protects paper documents for 60 minutes. This means that important documents, such as passports, certificates, records are safe for at least during 60 minutes.
During the fire test, a very severe fire is simulated, with the safe placed in a pre-heated oven and exposed to very high temperatures. For the test period in accordance with NT Fire 017, the temperature is 1090°C.
Construction Features
The titan has a high quality fire-resistant filling and a special band has been applied around the door frame that swells when the temperature rises. In a fire, this band ensures that the safe door is closed further and protects against the penetration of heat and fire.
On the hinge side, the safe door is equipped with thief claws that grab into the door frame so that attacks on the hinges are pointless. The hardware consists of 16 mm chromed steel bolts.
Anchoring
The titan has 2 anchoring holes in the bottom. The safe can be installed into concrete floors or a wooden floor with joists. The safe comes supplied with fixing bolts to complete the installation.
Factory Drop and Impact Resistance Test
The Phoenix Titan II FS1282K has undergone a factory drop and impact test of 9.15 meters at the manufacturer's test site in addition to the fire test. During the drop and impact test, the strength (ability) of the safe is measured to withstand the simulated effect of falling through a burning and collapsing building.
During the drop and impact test, the safe is hoisted to a height of 9.15 meters and dropped onto a bed of debris. The vault is immediately returned to the furnace for 30 minutes. During this phase, the internal temperature must be maintained below 177°C. Once cooled, the contents of the safe are still protected.
Equipped with a Cylinder Key Lock
The Phoenix Titan II FS1282K features a cylinder key lock and comes as standard with 2 keys. The variant with a cylinder key lock offers high reliability, is easy to operate and competitively priced.
Take into account the management of a key, which should be stored safely. Should a burglar find the key, he will have unhindered access to the safe. A variant with a key lock requires good and secure key management. Therefore, always consider an electronic code lock.
