A Eurograde 2 Safe – Insurance Rating?
A Eurograde 2 safe has been manufactured to an excellent standard and provides a high level of security when securing cash or valuables. The grade 2 has an insurance rating of £17,500 for cash and £175,000 for valuables. An insurance rating for safes – A valuables rating is always ten times higher than the cash rating on a safe. This is as standard for all types of safes available on the market.
Eurograde 2 Safes for the Private and Public Sector
Every client will have different requirements from their insurance company in terms of the Eurograde rating they require to match. We can cater for public sector organisations along with private homes, businesses and individuals that have a high net worth.
When selecting a safe we would always recommend to slightly overcompensate in terms of the value you require, as in the future you might require to store additional amount of cash or valuables. This is so that you are covered for an extra cash or valuables totals.
What is the best size to choose?
The selection of the size or model of safe is very important due the restrictions you might have in terms of the location of where the safe is due to go. We always recommend to carry out measurements of the area you plan to position the safe. Always consider the maximum weight of the safe you plan to have, as naturally when the size of safe increases then weight will increase. As it might be more difficult to manoeuvre the safe upstairs if required.
*Please Note* When measuring the depth, please ensure that you take into consideration the size of the external hinges, handles and lock size.*
Fire Protection for Eurograde Safes
Each eurograde 2 safe will slightly differ in terms of the manufacturing quality and inclusion of fire resistance along with a fire rating upon the safe. Some safes can also have limited or no fire protection. It then starts to increase in terms of protection from 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes.
Choosing a Key or Electronic Lock?
A eurograde 2 safe has a high security EN 1300 Class A lock, when making the choice of either a key or electronic this selection is more based on your personal preference as an individual or business.
They both offer the same level of protection and security, a key requires you to securely store the key in a hidden place. Whilst the electronic lock means you don’t have to hide the key and if required a number of users can then gain regular access to the safe.
Position of your Eurograde 2 Safe
The final location of your safe is an important factor prior to making a purchase online. As there on many different places in your property or business that it can be placed in. Such as on the ground floor, upstairs, in the basement or a cupboard/wardrobe etc.
Please make accurate measurements as possible so you know that the safe ordered can fit in your required location.
