Website Security

At Simply Safes security on our website is of paramount importance to us and we promise to protect your personal and credit card information with the highest level of data security.

We appreciate that in our world today the public has concerns over the security of online transactions. Especially so with all the coverage in magazines and online about identity theft. We will now take you over the steps we employ to protect your valuable data from theft.

How do we ensure payments are made securely?

Any area of our site where personal or credit card information is input you will find that you are secured by the industry standard SSL technology. You will know when this occurs as you will notice that in the address bar the http:// you would normally see is replaced with https://. The "s" stands for secure. Depending on which browser you use you will also see a Padlock appear which also demonstrates that you have been transferred to the SSL.

What else do we do to protect our customers?

  • Offer up to 256 bit encryption.

  • Use HSBC 3-D Secure to process payments.

  • We never store your card details.

  • PCI Compliant.

Did you know?

We understand that even though we take steps to keep our website secure, some clients prefer not to enter their card details online. If so we offer a telephone order option on our website where you can choose to call us with your card details.

What is 3-D Secure?

3-D Secure is an additional security layer for online credit and debit card transactions. It was developed by Visa with the intention of improving the security of Internet payments and is offered to customers as the Verified by Visa service. MasterCard have also adopted this under the name MasterCard SecureCode.

The 3-D Secure feature enables you the shopper to enter a password to confirm your identity with the card issuer. This offers you greater control when purchasing products online as it means that even if someone were able to obtain your card number they would not be able to complete the transaction without knowing the password.
