Grade 2 High Security Safes
A eurograde 2 safe comes with a cash rating of £17,500 along with a valuables rating of £175,000. Nearly all the range are insurance approved safes by AiS (Association of Insurance Surveyors).
This will help when it comes to speaking to your insurance company and agreeing the cover package for your insurance.
What about a Fire Rating on £17,500 cash rated safes?
Each available grade 2 safe may slightly differentiate in terms of the fire protection. It is highly recommended to include a fire protection level on your safe order. This is so that if a fire were to occur then paper documents would be protected up to a certain time frame.
*Please note that not all graded safes offer fire protection as a feature*
Professional advice on choosing a Eurograde 2 safe
You might not be sure on how to choose a Grade 2 safe, but here is our best suggestions before purchasing.
Size
Before even looking at potential safes online, our first recommendation is too measure and choose the location of where the safe will be placed.
This is so that you have exact measurements of the area, which helps when looking at external dimensions and sizes of each safe.
Weight
Naturally, Eurograde 2 safes are heavier than cheap budget safes. It is important to double check on the weight that each available safe is before purchasing.
As you may be restricted to a maximum weight for the flooring, a maximum lift load and the area being used to place the safe. Please also consider on how you can move the safe once delivered.

Locking Type – Key or Electronic
The final decision when choosing a safe is the type of lock you prefer when opening the safe on a regular basis. The two most common choices are key locking or electronic locking.
They both offer the same level of security to your safe, the choice is more down to personal preference. Would you prefer to store and hide the key out of sight? Or would you find it easier to have a digital lock which means you don’t have to hide the key.
A good advantage of an electronic lock is that if multiple users require access to the safe then this is better overall in comparison to a key.
