Description
The Chubbsafes Homesafe is a high security home safe with 30 minutes fire protection for paper documents and is ideal to securely store cash and valuables.
The HomeSafe 35E comes supplied with 1 x adjustable shelves and has an internal volume of 35 litres, the internal dimensions of the HomeSafe 35E are 360 x 355 x 281 mm (Height x Width x Depth).
The Homesafe provides the collective protection for burglary and fire resistance together in one safe.
Certification
30P Fire Protection - The Chubbsafes HomeSafe Range has been certified by ECB•S, this is with in accordance of 15659 to provide 30 minutes fire protection for paper documents.
S2 Burglary Protection – All sizes on the HomeSafe series have been certified by ECB•S, this is in accordance with European Standard EN 14450 to burglary resistance Level S2.
The HomeSafe has also been approved by the Association of Insurers (AiS) and the HomeSafe 35E also meets police approval standards with Secured by Design.
Construction
The HomeSafe 35E has been manufactured with a double wall steel body and it has a steel anti-drilling plate to protect the safe from a drilling attack. It has a new and revolutionary “V” locking bolts system which helps maintain the door integrity if under attack or when a fire occurs. It comes supplied with a Electronic Lock.
The safe has been constructed with a specially formulated and fire resistant material which was designed and developed by Chubbsafes.
For extra security the 10K can be anchored to the base or back wall, it comes supplied with 4 fixing bolts for a brick wall along with 2 anchor bolts for a wooden or concrete floor.

Today we are going to review the Chubbsafes Homesafe 50 EL.
The Homesafe series is the latest range of home safes from Chubbsafes and designed for the safe storage of money, jewellery and paper documents. The range offers certified protection against burglary and fire.
The Homesafe series is European certified class S2 according to EN 14450 with a value storage of £4,000 for cash and £40,000 for valuables.
The Homesafe series is European certified class LFS30P according to EN 15659 and offers 1/2 hour fire protection for paper documents.
Anchoring is possible via the bottom by means of 2 large anchors (included). In our review we look at model 50 EL which is equipped with an electronic code lock. In total there are 6 models ranging from 11 to 91 liters. Equipped with a key lock or electronic code lock per model.

- Good build quality for the price, lock feels wobbly but apparently this is usual. Instructions could be better and ot took me some time to realise I had to press and hold to set the combination.
- Great safe but awful instructions for setting the code. Pictograms very difficult to follow and there are no written instructions.
- Good quality safe as described and delivered on time and very well packaged
- It was delivered on a pallet to the front entrance
Very easy to understand installation instructions and the combination lock is very easy to operate with clear instructions to set the combination
The best surface to fix a safe into is concrete as this provides the most solid fixing. If you have a wooden floor please check with your insurance company they are happy with this. On a wooden floor the joist is the best point to fix to as this is a fixed point below the floor and generally more solid.
To install the safe to a floor you will need to choose an ideal location, put the safe into position and then mark the hole. Then remove the safe and drill where you have marked, check the instructions or bolt size for the size of hole that you will need to drill. Once your fixing hole or holes are drilled put the safe back into position and then using the bolts provided tighten them up.
