Locking type
The lock mounted on the safe provides security in relation to the burglary resistance of the safe.
Locks on burglary proof safes
In the case of a European-certified burglar-proof safe in accordance with EN 14450, EN 1143-1 and EN 1143-2, the lock is always certified in accordance with EN 1300.
From class Grade IV onwards, safes are (mandatory) equipped with 2 locks in accordance with EN 1300.
Locks on fireproof safes
In case of a fireproof safe, the lock is less important. After all, in the event of a fire, the safe must offer protection against an increase in temperature. The lock is not physically tested for attacks like a burglar-proof safe.
