What happens if the batteries fail on this safe? Also what happens if I forget the code?

     Anonymous  —  13/08/2015

Thank you for contacting us regarding this safe, the batteries are located externally so can be replaced if they fail or do not have sufficient power to work the locking mechanism. As this is a security safe there is no way to gain access if you forget your code.Claire Davies
What happens if the batteries run out or I forget my code for the safe?

     Peter Smithson  —  03/02/2015

As this safe is an insurance approved safe it does not have any emergency override access. On entry level models emergency keys can be used to gain entry. The batteries are located externally so if they are low on power they can easily be changed. We usually recommend the batteries are changed on 6 to 12 month intervals. If you do forget the code there is no way of gaining access without a locksmith visiting to drill open the door.Claire Davies
